Glenn William Weidert Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Glenn William Weidert, 90, of Watseka passed away on July 19, 2022 in Little River, SC. Glenn was born on September 29, 1931 in Watseka, the son of Kenneth and Thelma (Wollschlaeger) Weidert and they preceded him in death. He married Charlene Pries on March 21, 1959 in Watseka and she preceded him in death on February 21, 2017. He was also preceded in death by one son, Glenn Allen Weidert and four great-grandchildren. He is survived by one son, John (Christina) Weidert of Chillicothe, OH; two daughters, Chris (Daniel) Pelletier of San Francisco, CA and Kim (Mario Landry) Pelletier of Laval, Quebec, Canada; one sister, Helen Hamlett of Wentzville, MO; seven grandchildren, Brittany Girr, Lauren Weidert, Nathan Pelletier, Janna Weidert, Hope Valencia, Kenna Granados Gamboa, and Mandi Weidert; and four great-grandchildren, Clara Girr, Molly Girr, Aries Valencia, and Bennett Weidert. Glenn was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Kankakee as well as the Teamsters Union. He was a farmer and truck driver. Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 29, 2022 at Baier Funeral Home in Watseka. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Baier Funeral Home in Watseka with Rev. Scott Paisley officiating. Burial will follow at Iroquois Memorial Park in Watseka. Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church in Kankakee or American Heart/American Stroke Association.
