Shirley Mae Daniels

Shirley Mae Daniels, 88, of Watseka passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at home surrounded by her three children. She was born on July 5, 1934 in Williamsport, IN, the daughter of Howard K. and Georgia (Odle) Tate. She married William E. Daniels on August 27, 1954 in Williamsport, IN, and he preceded her in passing on February 20, 2009.

Surviving are her three children, William “Bill” (Chris) Daniels of Donovan, Marsha K. (Marilyn Cochran) Daniels of Champaign, and Barry (Lana) Daniels of Apex, NC; six grandchildren, Melissa (Steve Rowell) Daniels, Ami Daniels, Kyle Daniels, Jackie (Donald) Hundley, Christian Daniels, and Josh High; six great grandchildren, Rileigh Kilgore, Sharlee Daniels, Izabelle Daniels, Blade Rowell, Damien Hundley, and Deklyn Hundley; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, William E. Daniels, Shirley was preceded in passing by her parents; two brothers, Vernon Tate and Howard Tate; and three sisters, Margaret Wurtsbaugh, Maxine Smith, and Frances Johnson.

Mrs. Daniels enjoyed crocheting, reading, and playing BINGO. She loved cooking, baking, and most importantly, spending time with her family.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am – 12:00 noon on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at Baier Funeral Home in Watseka.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at Baier Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Hughes officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Watseka.

Memorials may be made to Iroquois Memorial Hospice.
