Virginia Marie Baker, 74, of Kankakee passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at Watseka Rehab and Healthcare in Watseka. She was born on September 15, 1947 in Dewey, IL. She married Ervin C. Knighten and he preceded her passing in 1993. She later married Michael Baker and he preceded her in passing in 2017. She was also preceded in death by her parents. Surviving are her three kids, Jerry Knighten of Taylorville, Karen (Adrian) Serrano of Kankakee, and Charles (Lisa) Knighten of Gilman; five grandchildren, Sarah Arlene, Elviz Munoz, Ismael Munoz, Megan Behrends, and Andrew Knighten; and three great grandchildren, Zachary Lease, Brayden Lease, and Araya Johnson. Virginia attended First Church of the Nazarene and volunteered at the local food pantry. She worked at the fair and enjoyed attending them. Mrs. Baker loved horses, horseback riding, horse blankets, and spending time with her family. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 pm on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Baier Funeral Home in Watseka.
