Betty "Diane" Sherman, 62, of Watseka, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2015 at her home.
She was born July 18, 1952 in Galesburg, IL, the daughter of Russell Watkins and Betty (Emken) Watkins.
She married Jerald Lynn Sherman on May 6, 1972 at the Elmwood Methodist Church.
Mrs. Sherman was a Merchandising Manager for Big R Stores. She enjoyed crafts, painting, wood working, cross stitching, fishing, gardening, Caribbean cruises, and spending time with family and friends at Two Crows Acres (Watkins' Farm).
Surviving Mrs. Sherman is her husband, Jerald Lynn Sherman of Watseka; one son and daughter-in-law, Jason Sherman of Farmington, Il, and Shantel Sherman of Farmington, Il; one daughter, Melissa Sherman and fiancé Bart Heckman of Chicago; one sister and brother-in-law, Julie Wherley of Canton, Il, and Randy Wherley of Lafayette, IN; three grandchildren, Kassidy Harper of Watseka, Il, Jordan Sherman of Burlington, IA, and Brian Sherman of Farmington, Il; nieces and nephews, Mike Wherley of Canton, IL; Adam Wherley of Canton, IL; Brandon Wherley of Lafayette, IN; Michelle Marten of Montana; Megan Haynes of Montana; Mike Sherman of Illinois; Tim Goeppinger of Sonoma, CA; Tom Goeppinger of Milwaukee, WI; Toby Goeppinger of St. Louis, MO; Tyson Goeppinger of Seattle, WA; Tracy Goeppinger of Woodinville, WA; Danial Knox of Waukegan, IL; Shelly Bloomer of Maquon, IL; and Josh Knox of Missouri.
She is also preceded in death by one son, Brian Sherman.
Visitation will be held from 10am-1pm on Saturday, March 14, 2015, at Baier Funeral Home in Watseka.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2015, at 1:00 pm, at Baier Funeral Home in Watseka. Pastor Robert Sabo will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mrs. Sherman's name can be made to IMH Hospice or Donor's Choice.
