Donald L. Dodson

Donald L. Dodson, 68 of Woodland passed away on Wednesday November 25, 2020 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. He was born on October 2, 1952 in Metropolis a son of James E. Dodson. Don married Lori Trumble in St. Pete Beach, FL on June 23, 2006 and she survives. Also surviving are five children- Tyler Duden, Allex Duden, Angela Dodson, Justin (Krystal) Dodson, and Nicholas Dodson; two brothers- Dean (Gina) Dodson and Jimmy (Debbie) Dodson; two sisters- Nancy (Larry) Combs and Cindy Dodson; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son- Brian Dodson.

Don was a true family man who enjoyed traveling, fishing, gardening, yardwork, dogs, and shooting. He was a paramedic for Bourbonnais, Riverside, St. Mary’s, Alverno, IMH, Pro Ambulance, and Arrow. Don was a man that dedicated his life to EMS for 48 years and made a positive impact on those involved with him through his journey.

Visitation will be on Wednesday December 2, 2020 from 4-7 pm at Baier Funeral Home in Watseka. Private funeral services will be held with Phil Wade and Joe Hughes officiating.
