Mildred Zelhart, 92, of Beaverville, IL, passed away on Friday, February 12, 2016.
She was born on November 16, 1923 in Kankakee, the daughter of Charles Sommer and Lela (Morris) Sommer.
Mildred married Warren Zelhart on April 22, 1943. He has since passed.
Mrs. Zelhart was a sewer at Kroehler Manufacturing. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, and crocheting.
Surviving Mrs. Zelhart are two sons and daughter-in-law’s, Phillip and Joy Zelhart of Beaverville, Kevin and Dawn Zelhart of Fayetteville, Tenn; one daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Wayne Rieches of Watseka; two brothers, Charles Sommer of Kankakee and Donald Sommer of Washington; seven grandchildren, Lisa Lease, Angie Arseneau, Roberta Clutz, Leighann Greenawalt, Veselin Rieches, Stacy Kaufmann, and Kaitlyn Zelhart; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She is also preceded in death by both parents; husband, Warren Zelhart; one sister, Violet; and two brothers, Richard and Lenord.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 from 9:00-11:00 am, at Baier Funeral Home in Watseka.
Graveside Services will take place on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at 11:45 am, at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kankakee, Illinois. Pastor P.J. Parker will officiate.
