Ruth Park, 79 of Sheldon, IL, passed on Monday, January 21, 2019.

She was born on August 31, 1939 in Carbon Cliff, IL, the daughter of Wilfred Heald and Elsie (Smith) Heald.

Ruth married Elliot Park in Carbon Cliff, IL in 1956.

Mrs. Park was a bookkeeper for Foster and Gallagher for twenty years. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, bird watching, and spending time with family. She also liked to help with the food pantry in Sheldon.

Surviving Mrs. Park is her husband, Elliot Park of Sheldon; sons, Douglas (Margaret) Park of Woodstock, IL, and David (Annette) Park of Villa Park, IL; daughter, Cynthia (Ken) Fisher of Newnan, GA; Sharon (Jim) Glaze of Ooltewah, TN; grandchildren, Laura, Lisa, Matthew, Rachel, Joseph, Paul, and Bradley; great-grandchildren, Lydia and Anna; and many nieces and nephews.

She is also preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Eudean; and two sisters, Merlyn and Elaine.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 25, 2019 from 1pm until 2pm, at Baier Funeral Home in Watseka.

Funeral Services will take place on Friday, January 25, 2019 at 2:00 pm, at Baier Funeral Home in Watseka. Chaplin Greg Crombar will officiate.

Burial will follow at Prairie Dell Cemetery in Iroquois.
