Shirley Ann Socia, 76, of Watseka, IL, passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2015.
She was born on June 25, 1939 in Rockford, IL, the daughter of Clifford Kruse and Rosemary (Jarvis) Kruse.
Shirley worked as a CNA for Iroquois Memorial Resident Home. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting.
Surviving Mrs. Socia is one son, Curtis Barrett of Grandin, MO; three daughters and son-in-law’s, Charlene Walker of Watseka, Carrie and Jason Parcus of Ellsinore, MO, Carla and James Blackwell of Milford; two brothers and sister-in-law, Jerry Kruse of Missouri, and Jimmy and Cindy Frazier of Missouri; three sisters and brother-in-law, Helen and Ronnie McManus of Missouri, Mary Lou Bell of Springfield, MO, and Ruth Green of Missouri; twenty-one grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She is also preceded in death by both parents; two sons, Calvin and Chris Barrett; one brother, Billy Frazier; one grandson, Keith Sherrion; and one son-in-law, Bob Walker.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm, at Baier Funeral Home in Watseka.
Memorials in Mrs. Socia's name can be made to IMH Hospice, American Diabetes Association, and/or American Heart Association.
Cremation rites will be made accordingly following services.
