Walter "Frank" Hartke

Walter “Frank” Hartke, 77, of Crescent City, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2017.
Frank was born on October 19, 1939 in Watseka, IL, the son of Walter Hartke and Cletis (Cary) Hartke.
He married Janet Schmitt on June 30, 1962. She passed on September 15, 2001.
Frank was a Bricklayer for the Union Local 6. He was also a member of the American Legion in Cissna park, Crescent-Iroquois Fire Department, Crescent City School Board, and the Crescent City Township Board. He served in the ARMY as well. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and his grandchildren.
Surviving Mr. Hartke is three daughters and son-in-law’s, Denise and Kevin Myers of Watseka, Debra and Deano Sapp of Watseka, and Donna and Chris Pincombe of Grand Rapids, MI; one brother, Charles “Butch” and Bonita Hartke of Crescent City, IL; a special friend, Kathy Feller of Cissna Park, IL; three grandchildren, Brock Myers, Devin Pincombe, and Hunter Pincombe; and many nieces and nephews.
He is also preceded in death by both parents; and wife, Janet.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 9, 2017 from 4-8pm, at Baier Funeral Home in Watseka.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, April 10, 2017 at 11:00 am, at Baier Funeral Home in Watseka. A one hour visitation will be held prior to services.
Burial will follow at Flesher Cemetery in Crescent City, IL.
In lieu of flowers memorials in Mr. Hartke's name can be made to the Methodist Church of Crescent City, Cissna Park American Legion, or Donor’s Choice.
